Can you bring an entire village out of poverty by empowering its women?
Guatemala, like many countries today, faces a food security crisis as the prices for basic grains such as corn and beans rise out of reach of the countryís poor. As project coordinator for Proeval Raxmu, Rob Cahill implements food security projects for community development and conservation for Heifer International. Come learn about how these projects alleviate poverty and hunger by establishing integrated food production systems that permit the families to improve their quality of life, empower women, conserve the natural resources, and improve the health of the environment in which they live.
